David Hasselhoff in his new music video, True Survivor. |
Daily Mail - He's not best known for his music career, and maybe there's a good reason for that.
Actor David Hasselhoff, 62, has released a bizarre new '80s-themed pop video that will leave even some of his die-hard fans scratching their heads.
The movie is described as a "visually spectacular action comedy that has its foundation in 80s cop movies" and has raised $630,019.
In the pop promo, David is seen fighting street thugs, riding dinosaurs and roaming around a dystopian world.
When he sings the lyrics, "a devil is rising, a shadow from the past" an actor dressed as Hitler appears.
Speaking about the music video, Hasselhoff said: "The '80s was about fun, action and heroes.
"Kung Fury has it all! I'm honoured to be involved with [director] David Sandberg, an up-and-coming force of nature in the animation digital entertainment world."
He added: "The song is perfect for me as I really am, in real life, a True Survivor."
